AI Search Optimization — AEO, GEO, AIO… whatever the industry calls it this month, I do it.

The industry hasn't agreed on a name yet. You'll see AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), AIO (AI Optimization), even LLMO (Large Language Model Optimization). Your customers don't use any of those words. They just ask ChatGPT "who's a good flooring contractor near Boca Raton?" — and either you're in the answer or you don't exist.

This service is about being in the answer.

What's actually changed

The numbers, not the hype:

  • Roughly 68% of Google searches now end without a click (Search Engine Land, 2026) — the answer appears on the page, and nobody visits anybody's website.
  • When Google shows an AI Overview, clicks to the traditional results below it drop by roughly 58% (Ahrefs, 2025).
  • Close to a third of Americans are expected to use generative AI search this year (Deloitte, 2026).

None of that means "Google is dead" — people who tell you that are also selling something. It means the answer box is the new front page, and the work is getting into it.

What I actually do

  • Make your business machine-readable. Structured data (schema) that tells AI systems plainly who you are, what you do, where you serve, and why you're credible. Machines get numbers; humans get a story. Same facts, two renderings.
  • Answer the questions your customers ask. AI engines assemble answers from content that actually answers things. I build and shape yours so it's quotable — the source, not the also-ran.
  • Build the trust signals AI checks. Consistent listings, real reviews, credible mentions. AI engines are skeptical readers; I give them receipts.
  • Keep your regular SEO strong. AI answers are built largely on top of ordinary search infrastructure. The foundation still counts — see SEO.
  • Measure it. Where you appear in AI answers today, tracked over time. No black box.

What I won't promise

A guaranteed spot in anyone's answer. Nobody controls ChatGPT or Google — anyone guaranteeing placement is lying to you politely. What I control is the work: making your business the easiest credible answer to choose. That's the whole strategy, and it's a good one.
